Bunny egg cups
A strip of card rolled into a ring, two ears and a little face: every Easter egg gets its own bunny for breakfast.
Age : age 4+
Materials
- Thick paper or thin coloured card : Pastels look lovely for Easter.
- A ruler and a pencil
- Scissors, glue or sticky tape
- Felt tips : For the face.
- An egg (boiled, chocolate or plastic) : To check the size.
Steps
Make it
- Draw a strip 15 cm long and 3 cm high.
- On one of the long edges, draw two long ears joined to the strip, in the middle.
- Cut out the strip and the ears in one piece.
- Draw the face just below the ears: eyes, nose, whiskers.
- Roll the strip into a ring, try it with the egg, then glue or tape the two ends together.
- Pop the egg inside: the ears stick up behind as if the bunny were holding it.
Make a chick (yellow strip, little orange beak and two wings) or a fox for a more varied table.
If it goes wrong
- The egg falls through : Glue it again a little tighter.
- The ears bend over : Back the ears with card.
