Mummy bowling
Ten rolls wrapped up like mummies, a ball, and let the game begin: the perfect game for a Halloween party at home.
Age : age 3+
Materials
- 10 empty toilet rolls : Or empty plastic bottles.
- Toilet paper, strips of white paper or gauze : For the bandages.
- Tape or glue
- Eyes drawn on paper, or googly eyes
- A medium-sized ball
- A marker and a sheet : For the scores.
Steps
Make the mummies
- Stick the start of a strip onto the roll, then wind it round, crossing it a little, like a bandage.
- Leave a small gap between two strips at eye level.
- Glue the eyes in the gap.
- If the rolls are too light and fall over on their own, put a little sand or modelling clay in the bottom.
Play
- Set out the 10 mummies in a triangle: 4, 3, 2, 1.
- Each player gets two throws per turn, from a line taped on the floor.
- Count the fallen mummies and write down the points.
- For little ones, move the line closer; for older ones, move it back.
Team mummy game: one child holds the toilet roll and wraps up a friend as fast as possible. The first finished mummy wins!
If it goes wrong
- Mummies fall at the slightest breath : A little sand in the bottom.
- Nobody knocks any down : Move the line closer, use a heavier ball.
Safety
- Play on a clear floor, away from breakable things.
